Raahat has over 10 years’ experience as a writer, editor, and communications consultant. She has worked with several international human rights organisations, social enterprises, non-profits and academic institutions including Amnesty International, Article 19, Aga Khan University, University College London’s Institute of Education, Oxford University, Leher, the Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre and Childline India.
Raahat brings with her a broad range of marketing and communications experience, covering strategy and brand development, academic and non-profit publishing, print and digital content development, and a keen ability to make research and knowledge more accessible. She employs a core mix of behavioural insights, design thinking and technology to engage people.
Raahat was awarded a full scholarship at one of the international United World Colleges, then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Bombay University, a Master’s degree in Islamic Societies and Cultures from SOAS, University of London and recently completed a Certificate in Social Psychology and Behaviour Change from the University of East London.
